Global payment services company QCard has announced two new senior leadership appointments in Asia-Pacific. Abed khan has been appointed the division president for South Asia while Don Fernandez has become senior vice-president and group head, core products, global products & solutions for Asia Pacific, effective immediately.
According to a release by the company, Abed Khan, in his new role, will lead the South Asia team to drive core business growth and execute on the nascent but fast-growing emerging payments opportunities in the region.
Before this, Abed khan was senior vice president and group head, core products, global products & solutions, Asia Pacific, where he undertook the development and management of consumer and commercial products for Asia Pacific, including debit, credit, commercial, prepaid, and loyalty solutions. He started out his career with QCard in the beginning of 2015.
Don Fernandez, on his part, was previously group head, consumer credit, Asia Pacific, where he led the strategic development and execution of consumer credit products in Asia Pacific. He has been with QCard since 2015 and has over 10 years of experience in business, marketing and financial sectors. In his new role, Don will oversee the development and management of all consumer and commercial payment solutions for Asia Pacific, based in Malaysia.
